Morden Girls League was set up in 1997 to provide free football to girls aged 13-16 who, at that point, had nowhere else to play.

Girls’ football has grown enormously since then but we still keep our philosophy of all ability, free football.

Girls join us from local little leagues. We also recruit from secondary schools in the local area. In the past, we have had players come to us from as far away as the Barbican in central London.

We play all our matches at King George’s Field so no travelling is involved.

Our players include some girls with special needs and girls who can only play alternate weeks because they spend the other weekends with a divorced parent who lives outside London. This reflects our policy of being all-inclusive.
